Max's First Halloween

For Max's first Halloween he was a Tiger grrrrrr! We went to the Jones Family house who had a few neighbors over before we went trick or treating. It was too cold out for the kids and around bed time so we went to a few houses and then headed back to the house to hang out.

Once back at the Jones house Maxi wanted to play with Creighton, but Creighton didn't seem to want anything to do with him. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Maxi kept pulling down his pants haha Thanks to the Jones family it was a great first Halloween and we all had a great time.

The Fever has stopped...

The fever went away yesterday and has not returned. In its place is a rash caused by the Motrin I gave him to get rid of the virus. This would be the second drug he is now allergic too. First it was the Amoxociilin and now Motrin. I started noticing the red dots last night and today they were all over his body and face. I just hope it goes away before Halloween gets here on Sunday.

It seems as though Max wants Daddy and Mommy over Maria lately. When Maria arrives at the house in the morning he pushes her away and wants daddy. And when she feeds him lunch he pushes it away calling out for mamma. I guess since I feed him dinner every night he misses me which is a nice to know. When I got home late today he was cranky and tired and didn't want to eat. So I placed him on the floor and he started to cry and put his arms out to me saying "mamma, mamma"...my heart melted. I love knowing that my son knows who is mommy is!

My little boy caught himself a virus...

For the past two days Max has been battling an awful fever and has been rundown. It started Sunday night and got as high as 103.6. We gave him 1.2ml of tylenol every four hours and the next morning he woke up happy as a clam fever free. As the day progressed he started to get worse, and by the time I got home he looked ghostly pale and was miserable. I immediately noticed how hot he was and so we took his temperature which was 104. We gave him a luke warm bath, gave him 1.875 ml of motrin and put a cold compress on his forehead. He still was burning hot, and now he was also shivering and crying. It was heartbreaking seeing him go through this and not being able to take the pain away. We put him down in only his diapers and a short sleeved onsie, yet he remained hot all night and got up several times. At one point we took him to bed with us, but all he wanted to do was play so we brought him back up where he passed out after a bottle.

Steve and Maria took him to the doctor first thing in the morning where they took blood and performed several tests. They all came back fine which indicated he has a virus. The doctor said if he has a fever of 102 or higher by tomorrow night we have to bring in a urine sample since he could have a rare UTI. So far tonight he has had 101.6 so he is slowly getting better. I want to see my little man feel better, there is nothing worse than feeling like a helpless mommy :(

10 Months!!!

My baby boy turned ten months old today and is cutter than ever! He has the most spunky personality and is so much fun to be around. He smiles all day long despite having caught a cold and loves to cruise around. It's hard to get him to sit still but it keeps us young. He still has a very stuffy nose but no fever anymore.
It is so much fun feeding him new solids, and he LOVES Spaghetti and Fruit. He is not such a fan of meat, but we still try to feed it to him. He holds his bottle on his own now and enjoys a bottle of pear or apple juice which we give him once a day.

He says Mamma and Dadda with no problem and knows the difference between us. He hasn't tried walking yet, but cruises around on all fours with such speed and stands up with ease. I can't get enough of him and we are loving every second of parenthood. This Saturday we are taking him apple and pumpkin picking. I'll post pictures after our little adventure!
