Maxi has a cold

Poor Max caught himself a bad cold and a fever. Steve took him to the doctor to confirm it was just a cold and now we just have to wait it out. As luck may have it I'm sick too now :(

Max learns how to swim

Max has been to two swim classes at the YMCA already and seems to enjoy it. He is in a half hour class with 8 other kids every Saturday. With our next child we will start the class a little later because I feel Max is too young for this right now but it can't hurt and he seems to have fun swimming with daddy.

- Max is feeding himself now with his hands. He can pick up small pieces of food and put it in his mouth.

- He is still sleeping 12 hours a day but Steve now gives him a bottle in the crib in the morning and he goes back to sleep.

- He has started to nap in his crib during the day

- His bedtime routine has a changed a bit since he doesn't fall asleep so easily when I rock him. I put him in bed and he loves to stand up and laugh and get a kiss, then he lays back down with his blankie and do the whole stand up routine over again. We do that 3 times and then I walk out and he will cuddle with his blanket.

- He got is first pair of shoes.

- He enjoys watching cartoons.

- He can climb up stairs.

- He is not walking yet, but will stand up and hold on to something and will walk a little by holding on to something.

Max 9 Months!!!

I can't get over how fast time goes by. We have already had 9 blessed months with our son and we are loving every second of it. Our little baby isn't a baby anymore, he is a little boy and too cute for words. We had great labor day weekend, I'm sad to see the summer come to an end. Max had his last hooray in the pool today before his swim classes begin September 18th at the YMCA.

I have been having such a blast playing with Max who is very interactive and always smiles. He got is two bottom teeth a while ago but today three new ones came in. He got another one on the bottom and two on the top. He crawls around like a maniac and stands up holding on to things and can sit back down from them without falling over which is nice. He has scraped open his feet from crawling around so much so we have to put socks or shoes on his feet now. He has yet to try to really walk on his own, but I don't see that far behind.

We have been trying to feed him solids and increase his food intake which has been difficult for two reasons: He still pukes a lot after having the bottle, and he tries to chew on too much and ends up chocking. I am going to start cooking him new fun things from this great cookbook I bought. Some new things I have introduced him to:

- Avocado and cream cheese mixed together

- Egg Yolk

- Cooked hamburger meat

- Pear and Apple Juice

- Rice cakes

Max also seems to have discovered his private parts and enjoys pulling on it way too hard to the point where it turns red. We have now installed a bath mat in this tub and now he sits during bath time which is great. Since the tumble down the stairs we have removed his walker since it's a huge accident waiting to happen. We aren't taking any chances. I can't wait for Max to meet his brother or sister he loves hanging out with babies his own age. He doesn't have to wait too much longer :)

- Crawls and stands up with ease

- Got three more teeth today and now has five

- Trying to eat solids so he can learn how to chew

- Fallen down Stairs

- He weighs 19.4 pounds

- Says Mamma and Dadda and Nene (little boy in spanish?)

- LOVES to laugh

- Starting to get separation anxiety and wants me, daddy or Maria to hold him.

- He loves to cuddle
