We spent today in Manhattan having lunch with our good friends the Avila's who have a 7 week old baby girl. Max couldn't get enough of her and kept trying to hold her hand or touch her hair and face. It got me so excited to see him interact with his future sibling.
He has been so much fun to play with and teach new things to. I have been trying to teach him new words and keep repeating them every time I introduce him to something. He has been able to say banana "anana" and can say "daisy" along with mommy and daddy which he has been saying for a while. I just taught him how to give high fives which he enjoys and makes him laugh. He has been doing great in swim class and now goes under without minding it or crying. He loves the water and splashes around and we are so proud of him. He has yet to walk, I still think it's two months away. I can tell he tries to stand up without holding on to anything but can't quite do it yet.
He loves books and I have started to read a lot with him which he loves. Introducing him to new foods is fun and it's so much easier when we go out to be able to feed him adult food. He had spagetti and chicken for lunch when we went out with my parents and he managed to make a huge mess but it was fun to watch. And today he tried tator tots and hamburger for lunch when we went to the restaurant.

His favorite thing to eat is banana, he wants one every night and chews off huge bites on his own. We have given him a lemon and orange to suck on but he isn't a huge fan of them. He loves baby yogort which I gave him tonight, and he still does his little grunt sound when he wants another bite which always gets me.
Daisy seems to be able to get Max into full out belly laughing mode. Whenever Max is holding a stuffed animal or a sock and is shaking it, Daisy will come over and try to pull it away. He starts to laugh so hard he can't contain himself. There is nothing more precious than seeing that. He also LOVES to dance. Whenever he hears his toys playing music or something on tv, he starts to dance! To say we are proud parents is an understatement, he is turning out to be such a good little happy boy and it is such a joy being his mommy. I cannot believe he is goign to be 11 months old next month, how did this happen! Every night when I put him to bed I hold on to him trying to soak in every moment because before long he will be all grown up and not wanting to snuggle up to his mommy before bed time. Every moment counts.
