Max turns 19 Months

Little man is sprouting like a weed. Steve and I can't believe how tall he has gotten. He runs around everywhere and always wants to be outside. We have started taking him to Bruce Park so he can play which he enjoys. We usually get him an ice cream after he has worn himself out. He loves the swing and just walking around exploring. He has become very attached to me, so much so that he wouldn't let Abuela change his diaper or give him a bath which is unusual for him.

Max got Croup again a week after he turned 18 Months which makes it the second time this year. He had it back in March and it makes him feel so crappy poor boy. He got Jake and me sick with a cold but nothing too bad. It was still a rough week with all of his sick especially at night.

Steve and I bought Max a motorized motorcycle which goes 2.5 miles/hour when he steps on the pedal. He hasn't mastered it quite yet but he will love it once he does.

Grandma and I took Max for his first professional haircut. He got to sit in a Mercedes toy car and was thoroughly entertained by it. He looks super cute with his new do!

He is still so good to his brother and is always trying to rock him or hold his bottle. We have to keep a close eye on him because he will just walk right up to his brother and put a pacifier in his mouth.

Max seems to have found his penis and even removed his own diaper and was found playing with it. He still isn't speaking although he has started to babble once in a while and I think he said door twice yesterday which Steve doesn't believe. He still loves Thomas the Train and his new show is Sesame Street.

Max had his cardiologist appointment yesterday where he was hooked up to a bunch of cables and then got an ultrasound taken. He was a complete angel and didn't even make a sound or move. The doctor kept saying he was sooooo good which is very unusual for a child his age.

Tomorrow we are flying to California which I'm super nervous about with both kids since Max is at such a difficult age, but we are hoping for the best and planning for the worst. We went to target and got him a few new toys we will give him on the plane and are bringing a few DVDs which I hope will keep him busy. Best scenario would be if they both slept. Either way we are super excited for California. Then we get back and two weeks later I start work which I'm really not happy about. I can't even imagine leaving my boys now and so Steve and I have discussed it and hopefully sometime in the near future I will be able to stay home full time or part time with the kids. We shall see but that is the only thing that is keeping me going because I really want to be their caretaker. I'll keep you posted.
