My sweet little angel has developed quite the personality these days. He no longer just wants to sit around quietly, instead he always wants to be moving around or held. He becomes quite vocal if he doesn't get his way which is definitely a new thing for him. Unlike his brother who stood up in his crib the day he turned 8 Months, Jake is nowhere near doing that. He is now able to stand when we put him against something but he doesn't last too long. He is still doing the army crawl and gets around everywhere pretty fast. He has two more teeth now, so a total of 4. His two top ones have just poked up and two more look like they want to come out on the bottom. He can say Dadda and some sounds and loves to make all sorts of sounds. He is 22 pounds of pure sunshine as Steve likes to say. He has still been eating carrots, butternut squash, pear and apples along with some rice crackers and puffs which he loves to eat. Yesterday I cut up some blueberries for him into really small pieces and he enjoyed that as well. His hand eye coordination is something he is practicing but it is slowly getting better.
His day time naps are both in the crib, one at 9am for 45 minutes and one at 12:30 for 2 hours. His bedtime has finally been extended to 7pm and he goes down at all naps and bedtime with no crying and sleeping a full twelve hours at night. I feel so lucky to have such a great sleeper on my hands and I just hope it continues like this.
His favorite thing to do when I get home is for me to plop him down on our bed so he can crawl around in it. As soon as he sees it he smiles and gets so excited. Max still tries to steal all his toys away from him but he manages to cry out loud and get them back when we teach Max a lesson. He adores his brother and is always smiling at him or looking for him in a room. He hates being in his car seat these days because he just wants to move around so a car ride can be extra painful these days. He has moved up to size 4 diaper and is wearing 12 month clothing which is slowly becoming tight on him. He really is the cutest happiest baby and I'm so blessed to have such an angel.
