Just saying that out loud makes my heart race. Six weeks more to go and yet sooooo much still left to do! We boxed up our apartment over the weekend, our place looks like a warehouse. We have our first baby class Wednesday night, and on Thursday we move and will spend our first night at my parents place. Friday we have our closing and then the following week we will hopefully close on our new house and move in. Oh, and lets not forget, we have our Lamaze class from 6-12 on Saturday and Sunday the weekend we move in...yes I kid you not, I booked it months ago, and the timing of our classes couldn't come at a worse time- GREAT!
The painter starts today and our basement is getting closer to being finished. I am sooo excited to be moving into our new home and to finally be able to set up Max's room. Having lived in the city for almost 8 years in tiny cramped up apartments (even though our current apartment is awesome), I'm soooooo ready to move into a big house with lots more space. Steve and I are excited to see our dogs reactions when they see their new home! It's starting to give me anxiety that we are close to our sons arrival (you just never know the exact date which makes it even more difficult) and being so unorganized with all of his things. We have a lot, don't get me wrong. But we still need more, and we have to organize what we have. It's all in my room at my parents house, still in boxes and nothing has been washed or organized. It will definitely be a very busy next few weeks, I'm just hoping things continue to go as smoothly as they have.
My next doctors appointment is in 1.5 weeks, we will finally have another ultrasound. I haven't had one since 21 weeks, it feels like ages ago. They will also test me for Strep B. From next week on I will have two doctor appointments A WEEK until Max is born...TWO!!! One with my OB, the other with the hospital where they will put Max on a monitor for 45 minutes and do a stress test to make sure he is doing okay. Another lovely outcome of being in the high risk category. But as the doctor put it, at least Ill know week to week that Max is doing well, so that makes it all worth it!
One more thing...my good girlfriend Jenny got engaged this weekend and I couldn't be happier for her. She was the one who set my husband and I up, and I'm so excited that she found the same thing she once gave me. Here's to the happy newly engaged couple!
