What a great day...

The babyshower was a total success and I was blown away by the decorations. My stepmom, her friends and my girl Cindi did a wonderful job and I couldn't have asked for more, so thanks again.
It wouldn't have been the shower it was if it weren't for my wonderful, loving friends and family who all came and celebrated my son's soon to be arrival. There is nothing more important in life than family and friends, and to have all those who are dear to me in one room was amazing. Of course the wonderful presents were an added bonus and very much appreciated. I got more than I could have ever imagined and I am so excited to really unpack it all and organize Max's nursery. He is going to be one handsome stud muffin in all those clothes he got.
We played the measuring game, where everyone had to guess the size of my belly with some ribbon. With the exception of two individuals we all (including myself) over estimated my belly size by a mile. Maggie won that game! The second game we played was the baby question game, where my girlfriend taped Steve's answers ahead of time and played them at the shower, then we compared them to my answers (only to prove how clueless I truly am haha). First question...How much did I weigh at birth...hmmm, I didn't know that EVERYONE knows their baby weight, I guess I missed that memo. I guessed 7.5lbs, Steve guessed 7.4lbs. Since I didn't know the answer at the time, I just looked it up, and wow, never in a million years would I have thought I was 5 pounds 13 ounces...but yup, I guess I was tiny. My husband on the other hand was 8 pounds 8 ounces (good thing Steve's mom was there to tell us because Steve must have missed that memo as well).
There was so much yummy food, including an omelet station and the carrot cake cupcakes were to die for...and yes I snuck one in and totally blew my blood sugar levels, but it was worth it!
After the shower I took my ladies to the new house to show everyone where I was moving to in three weeks time. I love that I got to share that with them, and look forward to them seeing it again once it's furnished and we are moved in. Here are some picture from the shower.
