Jake 11 Months

I can't believe my little snuggle bug is almost 1 years old! I'm in the midst of planning his first birthday party which will be safari themed and I'm going all out. I have already purchased a monkey and lady bug cake. My little man is so adventerus and is standing up and exploring everything around the house. He has yet to try to walk on his own but he is crawling on all fours and walking while holding on to things. He hates to have to sit in one place and is always trying to say something. Unlike his brother, Jake tries to repeat words you say. He can't say them, but he will try to sound them out.
He is officially on his last month of formula which I'm so happy about. He still loves eating string beans and blueberries although most of it ends up on his lap and not in his mouth.

Max and Jake are slowly starting to play with each other which is the cutest thing to watch. They make each other laugh and really enjoy each others company. It is the reason we had them so close in age, and it is finally paying off.

Every night when I rock Jake to sleep after giving him his bottle he rests his head on my shoulder and then looks up at me with a huge smile. I give him a kiss and then he rests his head again on my shoulder. We repeat that several times each night before I lay him down in his crib. It is that moment that I cherish the most each day and I can't wait to see his tired smile snuggle up to me tomorrow.

Poor little Jake caught his first wicket cold last month, and yet he was such a trooper. He only go up once during the night the entire time he was sick. It was so foreign to me since he never wakes up during the night. Of course I ran up as fast as I could, gave him some tylenol and rocked him back to sleep. To say he is the most precious little thing is an understatement. He melts my heart he is so sweet and good.
